Club Nights - News!

LADIES CLUB NIGHT
is on Mondays, and starts this Monday 3rd April, from 6pm, so come down any time after that for a turn up and mix in evening of tennis!
During the winter months, Mary has been sending out a doodle poll but now the evenings are longer and warmer, please do just turn up to play - the more the merrier. It is open to all, and we hope to arrange some occasional coaching sessions as well. Look out for more info as the season gets going.
There will also be a Monday night supper after tennis on Monday 24th April, so look out for more details on this too!

MENS CLUB NIGHT
continues on Tuesdays from 6pm. come down any time after that! Ross Helmsley will be joining in playing on Men's night on the last Tuesday of every month - he won't be giving any coaching, but if anyone is wanting hints and tips they're more than welcome to ask.
The last Pie Night for the season is coming up - on Tuesday 25th April - and will be back in the autumn.

MIXED NIGHT
starts up for the summer season this week. Again, starting at 6pm - turn up, mix in, play tennis!

JUNIOR NIGHT
continues on Fridays - and will get busier with the BBQ season starting up and the bar open! Raja is looking volunteers from parents to help out with the BBQ - please contact him: rajram75@yahoo.com

Club Fixtures
Adults : The combined fixture list for the summer covering A&D, Bucks Shield and Aegon matches can be viewed here http://www.gmltc.com/gmltc_fixtures_ This season there are 134 matches for 20 adult teams. Juniors: We have Aegon matches being organised by parent team captains so please contact Raja or Mike Doran know if there are any queries.

Building Works

Dave Wingfield's building team has started work on the top club house to install toilets and update the inside. They will complete the "office" conversion to toilets first and then do some restructuring and insulation for the main room later. The floodlight controller box will stay where it is and should not be impacted by the work. We will communicate when the main room will be "out of bounds" during construction work.

Club Tournament - Give it a Go!

Now that you have paid your subs, why not use that other piece of paper that came with your membership bill? Know what we're talking about? YES! It's the GMLTC tennis competition entry form! Why not find a mate and give it a go? It would be great to get lots of new pairings competing - it's a great chance to play against other pairs you may not know. It's for absolutely everyone - not just the "good " players - we're all good sometimes!

Now I know that you'll say you've lost the form - but LUCKILY you can still enter, as you can find it on the website! (you'll need to login, and you can find it in the member's area) Closing date is Friday 12th May, so hurry along and nobble your perfect partner!

Membership Dues

Membership fees for the season to March 31st 2018 are due today, 1st April. There is a grace period to 30 Aprilafter which the adult joining fee of £25 will apply. So far 47% of the membership has renewed with adults receiving the early payment discount. Many thanks for paying early! This is a call out to the remaining 53% to make your payments soon! Membership fee and payment details are in the bill sent to you earlier in March. If you have any questions about your renewal please contact Mary at membership@gmltc.com.

Please note that the March discount window has now closed!!
Please don't ask if you can still have the £10 off . We are processing hundreds of payments and can't manage individual requests for special circumstances.

Easy Like....

Easy Like Sunday Morning Tennis is as a roll-up and play social tennis session open to all adults (and juniors recommended by CT or invited by their playing parents) from 9-11 every Sunday morning throughout the Summer and Winter, usually starting on the 3 clay courts. All you need to do is turn up and mix in, play a set and then mix in again. The session is sometimes complemented by a post-tennis visit to the Deep Mill Diner for a bacon sandwich or FEB (vegetarian alternatives not normally available).

GMLTC Tennis Clothing

GMLTC Tennis Clothing Now Available for Juniors and Adults!
We have made arrangements for a wide range of tennis T-Shirts, Hoodies, Joggers, shorts etc with the GMLTC logo on the front and left sleeve to be available for purchase by members. We hope that junior (well, their parents) and adult team members will purchase a GMLTC T-Shirt for matches and members will enjoy the various GMLTC logo-ed hoodies, t's and joggers. Junior T-Shirts are £12 and adult ones £16,

The website will be live from Monday afternoon, 3rd April. You can select from and pay for a range of clothes and colours for ladies, men and juniors on-line. Junior Easter Camps - court usage
	Please note that these will be running for the next 2 weeks. They are very well subscribed, which is great news, but please do be aware that courts 11,12 and 13 will be in constant use during the day, and may occasionally spill over onto the very top courts.

Congratulations!
	Challenge Tennis Performance Progress Well done to Teagan, Anna and Sam who competed at the Bucks U8. Boys and Girls teams were in action at Redbridge. Girls finished 5th and boys 7th out of the 10 counties. Well done! Read more to see full size photos Read More
