Junior Closed Competition
	The draw for the Junior Closed is now up at the top clubhouse- good luck!

Sponsors wanted
	We are looking for new sponsors for the Junior Open Tournament which will be happening at GMLTC on Monday 31 July – Sat 5 August, (from 9am until approx 6pm every day) If your company, or a local company who you have a relationship with would like to hep, please contact Jill Stiel (07900 631777)

A Room with a View

The top clubhouse is now finished and as member, Fiona Boyle, quoted, a lovely "room with a view"! What a testament to the volunteering spirit and generosity of members of the club! Huge thanks to Dave Wingfield who arranged the building work at cost and in some areas no cost (www.wingfieldbuilding.co.uk). We also own Andrew Ginger a massive thanks for the gift of the new entrance door and the bi-folds, very generous of you (www.origin-global.com). Cate Walls led the decorating work assisted by Mary Bartlett and Emma Harris - many thanks ladies, great job! Many thanks also to the carpentry engineering team of Danny and Carlo Gagliardi who helped install the laminate floor.

Please make sure you lock up if you are last one out and mop up any spillages and do your washing up! There is a vacuum cleaner in the other room for crumbs and debris on the floor. We are looking into a Wi-Fi solution for the top clubhouse but as there is no phone line it is not straight forward. More on this later.

Neil's Note

This is possibly the shortest Neil's Note ever (phew some may say)... I had my first few sets since April 2016 a few weeks ago during Mixed Night. I was very pleased to ace a certain member who asked that I don't mention it in my next Neil's Note. Mike Hartley, did I say I wouldn't? I cant remember...

I hope you enjoy the summer on the grass (what good condition they are in) or your favourite other surface. Court 14 should be ready in a week or two...
