Club Championship Matches & Finals Day

Finals Day is only 2 weeks away - Saturday 8th September.
Please make sure any overdue matches are played asap! The draw is up in the foyer of the clubhouse.

Adult matches will start at noon, when the bar will also be open and the BBQ fired up, so if you're not participating, come down and watch the best of our club's players thrash it out!
Juniors will also be playing their finals - details tba.

If however, you'd like to be a little more involved than sitting on the sidelines, why not take to the high chair and act as Umpire? We need volunteers for this elevated position throughout the afternoon, so if you would like to give it a go, please contact Rowan: rowan@resultsthroughlearning.co.uk

Mixed Sunday Fun Tennis

With Winter fast approaching, we plan to start the Mixed Sunday Fun Tennis
in late September or early October. Last year we managed 6 teams and it
would be marvellous to better that this season. To sign-up please use the
Doodle link: https://doodle.com/poll/ek4k5a9scadsmt8yby September 14th.

The format is that each mixed team of six will play on occasional Sundays
throughout the winter in 5 x 20 minute sets, as part of an internal club
league. The emphasis is on fun and participation, it's a great way to meet
other club members and to keep your tennis going throughout the Winter

We try to match people's abilities by you selecting yourself as a
Lady/Man 1 = (regular/occasional team player (not our top teams!)),
Lady/Man 2 (average club social player),
Lady/Man 3 (less frequent/new'ish/rusty racket).

Matches start at 1300 and finish at 1500.

Grass Courts

It's time to roll up the nets as the grass courts will be closed for autumn renovation on Wednesday 12th September. The last social play sessions to play on grass will be Monday Ladies Night and Tuesday Mens Night that week (10th & 11th)

Clubhouse improvements

The patio area around the main clubhouse has been re-grouted with a resin based sand filler and some loose paving slabs have been re laid. This should give us many more years of use of before more maintenance is required. Many thanks to member Andrew Ginger, who's family company, Origin, updated the bi-fold doors mechanisms and locks recently. Andrew very generously donated all of the doors and bi-folds for both of our clubhouses. You know who to go to if you want new doors, windows and bi-folds!

Warning - Loose Step To Clay Courts

Please be careful when using the steps to the three clay courts. There is a small loose slab on the bottom step under the warning cone. Do not move the cone! The contractor has been informed and it will be fixed asap.

Lost Property Overflowing - Last Chance To Get Your stuff Back!

The Lost Property box in the foyer of the clubhouse is overflowing again. Shoes, rackets, water bottles, tops and more stuff! If you have lost something please come and have a look. The remaining items will be thrown away or donated to charity on Friday 31st August.

Disabled Parking Space

The space on the right of the car park with cross-hatched lines either side is a our designated disabled parking space. We are searching for a sign to put up to mark it as such! Please leave that space for those in need of extra room to get in / out of their car.

Lock The Doors!

Recently both clubhouses have been left unlocked overnight. Could members please make sure all doors are locked when you are the last one out - don't assume someone else will lock up!

Come and join us!
